About The Workshop
GIRL POWER provides fun, interactive well-being workshops for girls. Our mission is to foster a positive mindset and resilience in girls at a young age, before they embark on their teenage years and exposed to the powerful world of social media. Our workshops are based on positive psychology principles and delivered by way of fun, creative and engaging activities. Girls come away from our workshops knowing themselves better, understanding the power they have over their own lives and with increased social awareness.
Our weekly Girl Power Club provides a safe and supportive environment where girls can develop self-confidence, discuss weekly joys and concerns and enjoy empowering creative activities. The clubs run for 9 weeks each term, covering the following topics:
Week 1: Individuality & Identifying Strengths
Week 2: Social Skills
Week 3: Positive Friendships
Week 4: Friendship Fires & Bully-Proof Skills
Week 5: Growth Mindset
Week 6: Resilience
Week 7: Gratitude and Relaxation
Week 8: Healthy Mind, Healthy Body
Week 9: Revision and Presentation
We explore these topics through games, role play, worksheets, vibrant discussion and art/craft.
The Glenelg Girl Power Club is for girls 8-12 yrs and runs 5pm - 6.30pm on Wednesdays.

What do parents, teachers and girls have to say about our workshops?
"Thank you Girl Power team 🌟Our 10 year old daughter had a fabulous experience at your workshop. She raved about the activities, especially the gratitude jar which is something we could all learn from. As parents, we loved knowing that she was having fun whilst being empowered with life skills to help her navigate her pre-teen years" Kylie, mother of Miss 10
"My 11 year old absolutely loved it. She came home so excited about all the activities and made some new friends. I would recommend it to all pre-teens!" Patsy, mother of Miss 11
"From Miss 9 “It’s really good with lot of fun activities games and craft. It’s super fun and they are really nice and I love it” Julia, mother of Miss 9
"My Miss 10 loved it! Being new to SA we thought it was a great opportunity to add to her confidence & these workshops are perfect! Amy, mother of Miss 10
"Even though my daughter is fairly confident in certain situations, she can be shy and often doubts herself. She came away with a new skill set to give her added confidence and also some great tools to handle situations such as conflict within friendship groups, which will be so important in these next few years and then for life! I definitely recommend Girl Power for all girls! " Lauren, mother of Rachel (8)
“At Girl Power, I learnt that I can do anything” Jiorgina (8)
"I love how the Girl Power program really works with the needs of children and focuses on issues that are happening every day. Coming from an outside perspective, not just parents, really helps girls and gives them a chance to open up to other people” Stacy, mother of Miss 8
“I think Girl Power is good because some people think they have to change but I don’t need to change anything about me” Ava (8)"
I was so impressed with how the workshop ran. The activities were all great fun with a positive and empowering message underlying each of them. The girls finished the day with tools to help them think more positively about themselves and how they handle the inevitable difficulties they face in social situations. Fabulous. I highly recommend Girl Power workshops!" Natushka, mother of Josie (9)
"My daughter and her friend had such a wonderful time today. They were busy talking about their favourite parts (all of it) and it's been wonderful to see them put into practice some of the things they learnt. Wish there had been workshops like this for me when I was young. Thanks for this" Jess, mother of Matilda (11)
"A fabulous workshop for young ladies to encourage positive mind set, supportive behaviours and self value” Debbie, Primary School Teacher
“Lily loved it! She was excited to share what she learned with us. Also, the "smiley" vs "frownie" technique has already been applied at home. Thanks!” Anne-Marie, mother of Lily (7)
"I highly recommend these workshops aimed at building strong self esteem and confidence in young girls." Amanda, mother of Maddy (8)
“At Girl Power, I learnt not to wish I had someone else’s body” Bethany (11)
