How do I prepare for the course?
To participate in the online course, you'l need to have:
A computer or tablet with a web browser, Internet access and a speaker (to hear the audio from the videos)
A printer for the PDF activity sheets.
Some stationery / craft supplies:
lead pencil or a pen
crayons and water colour paints (if you don't have these, textas or coloured pencils will be fine)
a few pieces of blank A4 paper
a clean empty jar (e.g. jam jar)
stickers and sparkly gems (optional)
If you don't have a printer, you may be able to use a printer from a friend or visit your local library. Some office supplies shops also have printing facilities.
We also have some small but fun interactive Powerpoint quizzes if you have a copy of Microsoft Powerpoint, but this is an optional part so don't worry if you don't!
How do I access the course?
This is a self-paced course, that fits in with you and your busy schedule!
When you make a booking, we'll send you an email with a ticket and a link to access the course and this will give you immediate access to all the fun in the first week's module. Remember, you don't have to start straight away - pick a time that suits you!
At the start of week 2 (one week after you made your initial booking), the second week's module will become available. You'll use the same link and ticket you used for the first week and you'll now see a new "tab" that will give you access to the next module.
At the start of week 3, you'll then get access to the third module in the course. From there you'll have access to all 3 modules for a further 2 weeks.

Where do I find my ticket number?
You'll find your ticket number in the Tickets.pdf file that was attached to the email we sent you when you booked into the course.
Check your SPAM folder if you can't locate the original email!
Do I have to start at a specific time?
No! This is a self-paced course that means you can start whenever it's convenient for you!
Once you have access to the Online Course, you can start any time you want.
9am Monday? Sure!
3:45pm Wednesday? Why not!
2:35am on Sunday? Well ... if that works for you, go for it!
How long will I have access to this course?
Your tickets will give you access to the Online Course for 4 weeks from the date you purchased your ticket.
This will give you a full week for each module (plus an extra bonus week), giving you plenty of time to view the videos and download the various activities.
My daughter is only 6. Can she still do the course?
All girls are welcome to enrol in our course.
There is some writing involved (short responses) so younger girls may need some support with this.
My daughter is over 12. Can she still do the course?
Yes, teenage girls are welcome to enrol in the course and can benefit from the content and messages.
Some older girls may just feel that some of the graphics and animation used in the activity sheets and videos is aimed at younger girls.
My daughter has ASD. Is this course suitable for her?
This is a tricky question to answer without knowing the specific needs of your child. At Girl Power we welcome all girls and hope that our online course caters for a diverse range of learners.
The course is comprised of engaging short tutorial videos, activity sheets and some simple craft projects. Depending on your daughter’s unique needs, she may need additional support as she takes part.
